Before and After
Traditional rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that permanently alters the appearance of the nose. This process can change the shape and size of the nose as well as repair any functional flaws that impair breathing.
Liquid rhinoplasty gives immediate results by injecting dermal fillers made of a substance called hyaluronic acid to reshape the nose. Results typically last – 12 months making it an ideal option for someone considering a permanent change; non-surgical rhinoplasty allows patients to give it a try before committing to surgery. Alternately, patients can choose to “top up” the fillers as needed to maintain the results. Patients often also find that their nasal breathing feels better after both kinds of nasal surgery.

- A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are several examples of recent rhinoplasties performed by Dr. Rotenberg:

This is a female patient with a nasal bump. She felt her nose was too long and protruded from her face. The procedure included a hump reduction and then a tip-plasty to reduce her tip.
Pre

This is a female patient with a nasal bump, who felt her nose was also twisted down and nostrils too flared. The procedure included a hump reduction and then a tip-plasty to rotate the tip up and improve the nostrils.
Pre

This is a patient who felt her nose was too long, and didn't like the bump or how her tip looked droopy. The procedure included a hump reduction and then a tip rotation and lift, as well as enhancing cartilage definition
Pre-Post

These are pre/post shots of a patient with a large dorsal hump and thick skin, who did not want to have a full rhinoplasty and was more interested in a filler liquid rhinoplasty. Her procedure involved a filler placement above and below the nasal hump to smooth out the skin and camouflage the nasal area of concern. Because her skin was thick the changes are less pronounced but are still a good improvement.
Pre-Post

These are pre/post shots of a patient with concerns regarding a small dorsal hump and that her nose was too up tilted. Her procedure includes a small amount of filler placed carefully to cover the hump, and some work in the tip to push the top of the nose down and give the effect of counter rotation. With her skin being thinner, the filler was able to nicely mask the areas of concern.
Pre

Post

This patient had concerns regarding the appearance of her nasal tip and the way the cartilage was twisted and splayed. This was corrected with reconfiguration of her middle nasal cartilages and an overlay technique.
Pre

This woman had a substantial tension tip and dorsal hump. Correction was performed via open approach, dorsal reduction, deprojection, and tip rotation grafting, to achieve a new pleasing result.

This lady had a prior rhinoplasty by an outside surgeon, but the result was not as she had hoped. Correction and improvement were obtained with a revision rhinoplasty, auricular grafting, osteotomies, and tip suture work.
Pre

Post

This lady had a complex history of two prior rhinoplasties and prior ear grafts, all by outside surgeons. Her columella had collapsed and the tip shifted. Correction here required a donor rib graft and extensive rebuilding of the tip with struts and grafts, but the result was as she was hoping for.
Pre

This lady underwent a standard open approach rhinoplasty to reduce her hump and both lift and rotate the tip into a more pleasing orientation.
Pre

This lady had a dorsal hump reduction with osteotomies, and a columellar strut to lift her tip and give her the feminine result she desired.

This patient had an old nasal fracture causing a large dorsal hump and tip shift. His surgery required a hump reduction, medial and lateral osteotomies, and septal extension graft to align the tip to dorsum. The end result was a pleasing masculine profile.
Pre

This patient underwent a hump reduction, osteotomies, and tip narrowing to give him the refinement he was looking for.

This patient had a large dorsal hump and under rotated nose. We corrected this via an open approach, removal of the hump, and rotation maneuvers to lift her tip.
Pre

This patient had a bone fracture line and hump from an old injury. Her correction involved dorsal rasping, osteotomies, and then a columellar strut to keep the tip straight and lifted.
Pre

Post

This patient had a nasal fracture from an old injury as well as a septal deviation. Correction was via a closed approach, septoplasty, and then medial and lateral osteotomies to re-align his dorsum to the middle the way he wanted it.

This patient had a congenital deformity to the nose and then had failed a prior correction with an outside surgeon. Her surgery was complex and involved auricular graft as well as more standard rhinoplasty maneuvers to repair the dorsum and nasal cartilage and give her the shape she was looking for.

This patient wanted a narrow nose, hump reduction, and a lift of her tip. We accomplished this via open approach, hump removal with osteotomies, and then a complex series of tip grafts and sutures to rotate the tip the way she wanted it.

This patient wanted her hump taken down and also a chin extension. We accomplished her desires via a combination rhinoplasty and chin procedure.
